As you know, the next event is the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix at Schenley Park on July 17-19.   The PVGP (www.pvgp.org) is always a great time but this year will be even more special because BMW is the featured marque!  Rich Lipchik is your host for this 3-day event and offers these suggestions to make your experience memorable.

 

Hotel.  Book a room for Friday and Saturday to be on-site for the early morning activities.  Of course, you’re welcome to do day trips and piece-part events a la carte, too!  The host hotel is Green Tree Radisson, 101 Radisson Drive, Pittsburgh, 800.333.3333 and the BMW Marque Promo Code is BMW09 for the $99 per night rate.  There is a reception at the hotel on Friday night and this is where the ZBimmer event starts.

 

Registration.  Register for events at www.pvgp.org/marque.  The top link takes you to the secure online registration page.  The second link takes you to the .PDF mail-in form. 

 

Rich suggests registering for the BMW Marque Pavillion Car Show for One Person (7.18/7.19) for $95.00 per car that includes lunch & refreshments, car corral parking, program, poster, dash plaque and parade lap.  If you have a passenger, also purchase an Additional Saturday Lunch (7.18) for $15.

 

There are lots of other PVGP events happening over the weekend.  Check them out and sign up for those that would be most enjoyable to you.  Also the pit/paddock area is open (free of charge) where you can get close to the cars and meet the drivers – maybe even get permission to sit in a vintage race car for a photo op!

 

Sunday Group Dinner.  Rich will make arrangements for the traditional stop at Carmody's Restaurant after the PVGP if the group is interested.
