Saturday August 12th

Greetings,
ZBimmers! You
don't have to be an amateur Sherlock Holmes to participate in the Z
Mystery Drive on Saturday, August 12 but you will have to pay careful
attention to the clues provided and stay close to the tail lights ahead
of you. Bruce and Mary
McMakin have an interesting, if secretive, day planned for your driving
pleasure. The only
information you really need to know is that you'll have a fabulous time
on the road again with the ZBimmers.
Here
is Bruce’s description of the Mystery Drive:
There are roads that go up and down and curves that go right
and left. There will be
roads with numbers, roads with names, and some roads with neither.
There will also be P.O.P.I.s (pronounced Poo – Pees).
To find out what a P.O.P.I. is, you have to take the drive. Lunch
is scheduled at a nice, sit down restaurant with a view and it even has
tablecloths, too. The end
of the drive will find you at a location known for its F.F.G.B. (Food,
Fun, Games and Booze). Gather for the Mystery Drive at the McDonalds at I-77, Exit 118 (State Route 241) just south of Akron. McDonalds is on the northwest corner of the interchange. Departure time is 10:30 AM. RSVPs for the Mystery Drive eateries are needed by August 6. Please email your intentions to creller@aol.com if you can join the ZBimmers for lunch and also for the F.F.G.B. event. Should circumstances preclude driving with the ZBimmers to these locations, please phone Bruce or Mary (330.664.0628) who will swear you to secrecy before they disclose their identities.
Here's the standard boilerplate for the Mystery Drive. Please join us for the entire trip or just the part that's convenient for you. Bring along all the Zs that you can find. Dress appropriately for the temperature because we drive regardless of weather. Don't forget sunscreen and sun glasses if it's bright. Have a full tank of gas to start the drive. Bring your Talkabouts tuned to channel 7,5. Be sure the camera has batteries or film. Remember your tank of gas donation for Make A Wish. |
