World Tour

Sunday July 24th

Eastern Ohio

Greetings to the Northern Ohio Z Series Enthusiasts!

Update your passport and pack your bags!  The Ohio World Cities Tour is taking you on an international route Sunday, July 24, created specifically for your driving pleasure by tour guides Don and Judy Auble.  In Don's words, 'Without leaving Ohio, we'll experience Paris, Lisbon, Toronto, Calcutta and other world famous locations in beautiful southeastern Ohio.  Highlights include some miles along Atwood Lake and the Ohio River, "twisties", lunch at the charming Bluebird Farm Restaurant outside Carrollton and an afternoon stop at an historic covered bridge.  The final destination of the Ohio World Cities Tour is Edinburg with an ETA of late afternoon.'

The Ohio World Cities Tour will depart from the greater Kent (U.K.) area - specifically the McDonalds parking lot, just south of the intersection I-76 and Rt 43.  Embarkation will be at 10:45 AM.  Please arrive early enough for greetings, waivers, passport verification, security checks, etc.

The Ohio World Cities Tour will dine in a century old farmhouse tucked in the beautiful rolling hills of Carroll County.  We are expected for lunch, 12:30ish, at the Bluebird Restaurant in Carrollton (109 Alamo Road, 330.627.7980, www.bluebird-farm.com).

Here's the standard boilerplate for the Ohio World Cities Tour.  Please join us for the entire trip or just the part that's convenient for you.  Bring along all the Zs that you can find.  Dress appropriately for the temperature because we drive regardless of weather.  Don't forget sunscreen and sun glasses if it's bright.  Have a full tank of gas to start the drive.  Bring your Talkabouts tuned to channel 7,5.  Be sure the camera has batteries or film and remember your tank of gas donation for Make A Wish.  The MAW donations now total $8574.26!

We extend a special thanks to Don and Judy for organizing the Ohio World Cities Tour.  Please focus on good weather and don’t forget to rsvp for the Glenmoor Gathering.  See you on the 24th!
