The BMWCCA Wine Country Tour will assemble in two locations for those in the northern counties and those in the southern

Greetings to the Northern Ohio Z Series Enthusiasts!

The Zs are taking to the roads again on Saturday, June 11, and if you like the Amish countryside, Amish food and back country roads, this drive is for you! In addition to including a stop to purchase local cheese and baked goods, Dan and Arthea Lucas have planned a most unique group dinner at the Amish home of Nelson and Betty Yutzy. We need RSVPs for the dinner by May 27 which is why this broadcast is earlier than normal.

Here's the plan for Z Country Roads Drive.

We depart at 9:00 AM from the parking lot of Arabica Coffee at the intersection of Rt 176 and Wheatley Road, just west of I-77. Come early enough to mingle and complete the paperwork but don't eat too many muffins 'cause we're stopping for breakfast in an hour.

On our cruise south, we'll breakfast at Mrs. Yoder's Kitchen in Mt. Hope (8101 State Route 241, 330.674.0922). The Saturday of our drive is also Horse Sale Saturday which means there will be more sights to enjoy than just the usual, busy market day.

Next stop will be Bunker Hill Village where you'll be able to purchase Amish cheese and baked goods. Then it's off to enjoy the country roads of Holmes County for the rest of the day.

The group dinner will be at 5:00 PM in the home of Nelson and Betty Yutzy (7311 Township Road 654, MIllersburg, no phone). The family style dinner will feature chicken, roast beef, gravy, noodles, mashed potatoes, dressing, salad, bread, jam, coffee/tea and pie. The price is $16 per person. Bring cash 'cause the Yutzy's don't accept credit cards. If we fail to meet the minimum requirement of 15 diners, I'll get back to you with a different venue for the group meal. Please RSVP to me by Friday, May 27 if you plan to stay for the group dinner.

Here's the standard boilerplate for Z Country Roads Drive. Please join us for the entire trip or just the part that's convenient for you. Bring along all the Zs that you can find. Dress appropriately for the temperature because we drive regardless of weather. Don't forget sunscreen and sun glasses if it's bright. Have a full tank of gas to start the drive. Bring your Talkabouts tuned to channel 7,5. Be sure the camera has batteries or film.
