Greetings to the Northern Ohio Z Series Enthusiasts!

 

How about a weekend in the Hocking Hills, two days of back road driving and an evening torch light canoe trip followed by a bonfire, libations and live entertainment?  If this sound like something you'd enjoy, come on along.  The Zs are doing a Weekender to Logan, OH on Aug 14-15 and you're invited.

 

Meet in Richfield at the Arabica Coffee on Rt 176 at Cleveland-Massillon Road, just west of I-77 and plan for a 9:30 AM departure. Lunch will be at King Charley's Tavern in the Inn at Roscoe Village in Coshocton.  The Brass Rail Country Club in Logan will host our group dinner prior to the canoe trip.  The canoes cost $26 each and only cease operation if the water level is too high.  On Sunday, we'll explore the Hocking Hills and return to Northern Ohio in time for dinner. 

Please let me know if you plan to attend because we don't want to leave without you if you're running late.  The Holiday Inn Express in Logan had a few rooms left if you still need to make your reservation for Aug 14.  Their number is 740.385.7700.

 

HHere's the standard boilerplate for the Z Weekender Canoe Trip.  Please join us for the entire trip or just the part that's convenient for you.  Bring along all the Zs that you can find.  Dress appropriately for the temperature because we drive regardless of weather.  Don't forget sunscreen and sun glasses if it's bright.  Have a full tank of gas to start the drive.  Bring your Talkabouts tuned to channel 7,0.  Be sure the camera has batteries or film.  Remember your tank of gas donation for Make A Wish.  Please help the Weathermeister by focusing on good weather for the Z Weekender Canoe Trip.
