Fall Season Opener Drive

Sunday September 21st

The Zs are driving again Sunday, Sept 21.  Fall is already in the air but we've still got some fine driving weather left before we end the season.  Get those magnificent driving machines ready and come join in the fun.  We'll play around in the Cuyahoga Valley for a while, catch some autocross in Euclid and dine on Lake Erie.

Meet at 10:00 am at Arabica Coffee in Richfield at the intersection of Rt 176 (Wheatley Road) and Cleveland Massillon Road.  The coffee shop sits on the south side of the road, just west of the I-77 and Rt 176 intersection.  The drive will start at 10:30 am.

We're going to enjoy some of the fine roads and sights in the Cuyahoga Valley and then head north to watch some highly competitive autocross at the Euclid Square Mall.  Autocross has finally lured our Toledo Z friends, Randy and Sue Forbes, to this side of the state and it will be a treat to watch these champions in action again.  They both took first place honors at Homecoming this year.  I also want to mention that Kim Ball and Cheryl Kawecki finished second and third in the women's division.

The group dinner will be at Hornblowers Barge and Grill on Lake Erie next to Burke Lakefront Airport about 4:30 pm.  Weathermeister, please keep it dry and warm on Sunday because we want to eat on the deck!

And now the boiler plate for the Sept 21 Drive.  Please join us for all day or just the part that's convenient for you.  Bring along all the Zs and like-minded enthusiasts that you can find.  Dress appropriately for the temperature because we drive regardless of weather.  Don't forget sunscreen and sun glasses if it's bright.  Have a full tank of gas to start the drive.  Bring your Talkabouts tuned to channel 7,0.  Be sure the camera has batteries or film.

Remember your tank-of-gas donation for charity.  Your Make-A-Wish donations now total $1790 in 2003 and $3359 overall!

Looking forward to seeing everyone again on the 21st.  This will be our first local drive since July and I hope you can join us.

Cindy
